The Eta Theta Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha is a wonderful group of women with a variety of talents. We hope that you'll consider joining our sisterhood after going through formal recruitment in August or during informal recruitment taking place throughout the year.
How Do I Join?
In order to join a sorority, potential new members must first go through a recruitment process. Recruitment is a mutual selection process in which the potential new members determine which sorority best fits them, and each sorority determines which women they will ask to join.
Recruitment Events Include:
Philanthropy Day - Every woman registered for Recruitment visits each sorority on campus for a brief introductory event to learn more about their philanthropy. ZTA's national philanthropy is breast cancer awareness and education. ZTA is partnered with organizations such as the National Football League.
House Tour Day - Potential new members receive invitations to these events and may accept only a specified number of invitations. Women receive house tours and many sororities feature entertainment, such as a skit.
Preference Day - The most formal and serious of the events includes an heart-warming ceremony. Potential new members attend preference events at two of the three sororities. After the preference events, potential new members list their top choice on a Bid Card.
Bid Day - After potential new members receive their invitation to pledge, they celebrate with their new chapter.
Formal recruitment takes place the weekend before classes begin in the fall semester. More information concerning formal recruitment and Greek Life at Missouri S&T can be found online at https://sites.google.com/site/mstpanhel/home
