Recruitment Information
The Eta Theta Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha is a wonderful group of women and we hope that you'll consider joining our sisterhood!
How Do I Join?
In order to join a sorority, potential new members go through the primary recruitment process. Recruitment is a mutual selection process in which potential new members determine which sorority best fits them, and each sorority determines which women they will ask to join. There are also opportunities to join our sisterhood throughout the year during informal recruitment. Contact our VP III: Membership and Recruitment, Sydni Wietfeld, for more information!
Primary Recruitment:
Philanthropy Day: Every woman registered for Recruitment visits each sorority on campus for a brief introductory event to learn more about their philanthropy. ZTA's national philanthropy is Breast Cancer Awareness and Education. ZTA raises awareness with partners such as the National Football League.
Sisterhood Day: Potential new members receive invitations to these events and may accept only a specified number of invitations. Women watch a sisterhood video and receive house tours of each house they are invited back to and as well as the opportunity to talk to more women from the chapter.
Preference Day: This day is most serious and formal day of recruitment as it includes an incredibly heart-warming preference ceremony. After the preference events, potential new members list their top choice.
Bid Day: After potential new members receive their invitation to pledge, they run home to celebrate with their new sisters.
